Almost, at least. I'll be doing my best to beat the heat this weekend, patio misters and all. Any other brave souls in the vicinity, stop by for a freshly-squeezed margarita. We'll be camped near the Wizard Pool.

And according to today's Morning Report (for Furnace Creek at least):

      What kind of bugs did you encounter? Lots of really small biting gnats? Were they up at the Palm Spring, or just in the bushy wet area below the Lower Warm Springs?

    Actually, on second thought....

    Sunday is now looking like temperature records will be broken, with a forecast of 118 degrees! I've met my match, ye infernal lung-searing solar fireball.

    So it's up to cooler elevations at Papoose Flat instead....
